Chief Financial Officer
John Powell is the Chief Financial Officer of Buckeye Corrugated, Inc. (BCI). He began his BCI career in 2003 as a Controller for the Wooster Division, acting as an influential leader for 10 years before he was promoted to Corporate Controller in 2013. After 8 successful years as Corporate Controller, John was promoted to Assistant Chief Financial Officer – bringing his experience in strategy development and financial performance to the position.
John has been BCI’s Chief Financial Officer since 2022. His knowledge and expertise in financial strategy and planning are unparalleled. He also serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors, providing valuable insight and guidance. John obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Cedarville University, a graduate certificate in Management of Technology and an MBA from the University of Akron. He has been a CPA for over 30 years and brings a wealth of knowledge to help guide financial decision-making.
