Position Purpose:
Responsible for directing activities of the shipping department.

Pay Range:
$20.00 – $25.00 per hour plus Quarterly Bonuses.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Tasks related to this position may vary and are not limited to those listed below:
• Follow established safety rules, policies, and procedures at all times.
• Correspond with customers and sales using tools provided.
• Monitor shipping schedule and correspond with Scheduler.
• Maintain filing system.
• Process customer pickups as required.
• Collaborate, consult, and communicate with other supervisors on all shifts.
• Administer the truck scheduling system.
• Develop delivery schedules for all orders.
• Recommend changes for improvements in efficiencies and performance.
• Schedule dock appointments with customers as needed.
• Compile a daily performance report and distribute.
• Contact and schedule outside carriers as required.
• Assist in warehouse as needed.
• Re-spot trailers as needed.
• Reconcile daily shipping log.
• Ensure prompt, accurate loading and shipping of finished product for customers.
• Monitor all job functions to match quality and safety policies.
• Ensure prompt and accurate execution of all job functions.
• Ensure all projects completed timely and accurately.
• Work from written and verbal directions.
• Maintain neat and orderly work area.
• Full-time role in a manufacturing plant/warehouse setting.
• Maintain duties and responsibilities throughout warehouses.

Skill Set:
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Organizational skills.
Qualifications Desired:
• 5 years of experience as a shipping lead or manager.
• Experience in the corrugated packaging industry highly preferred.
• High school diploma / GED.
