Manage all aspects of production, maintenance, scheduling and shipping with a keen focus on safety.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Follow and enforce established safety rules, policies and procedures.
Maintain OSHA regulatory compliance in all aspects of written programs, procedures, associate training and plant operations.
Ensure best practices are followed in all production-related functions and maintain positive workplace culture and associate morale.
Ensure all necessary safety documentation is recorded, retained, and updated as necessary.
Maintain plant cleanliness and neat and orderly work areas.
Active participant on Division Safety Committee.
Establish areas of responsibility for immediate subordinates, give general direction to various departments to ensure adherence to production schedules, standards of performance, quality and safety programs and company policies.
Direct production, maintenance and shipping team regarding production requirements, equipment utilization, quality/quantity standards, safety/housekeeping, equipment repair and maintenance.
Ensure customer specifications are met during the manufacturing process.
Ensure timely corrective action to manufacturing-related internal quality audit deficiencies.
Ensure nonconforming product is properly identified and segregated for disposition.
Analyze reports indicating manpower, attendance, job bidding, labor costs, overtime, equipment efficiencies, production shipments and the like.
Investigate, determine and implement corrective measures to improve operations deviating from established standards.
Develop and implement improvements for methods, equipment, material handling techniques and similar projects.
Analyze capital equipment needs, employment levels and budgets; make recommendations regarding these applications.
Maintain industry contacts and remain informed of new developments, programs, machinery and trends.
Drive inventory management and track industry news and pricing of all necessary supplies such as ink, skids and adhesives.
Oversee and direct supervisors and managers with associate performance and disciplinary management, approve associate change status requests and make effective recommendations to General Manager for discipline, promotion, transfer or termination.
Staff, train and mentor production, maintenance and shipping supervisors and management, preparing them for new responsibilities and future challenges.
Full-time role in a non-temperature regulated manufacturing plant/warehouse setting.
Skill Set:
Ability to drive results, problem solve and lead others in situations lacking necessary detail
Effective collaboration with all departmental managers to achieve organizational objectives
Strong verbal and written communication and mentoring skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Knowledgeable of plant equipment and operations
