Replace the current 57” x 48” x 80” OSB crating that was being built on-site by unskilled labor resulting in an extremely expensive, inconsistently constructed, nonbranded package that significantly slowed production rates and the ability to produce product and ship on time.
BCI is producing a TW sleeve and DW cap that is attached to the pallet for shipment. It only requires a few pieces of tape so packaging time is significantly decreased. Instead of building a crate for each one, they simply slip the sleeve over the product (that has been secured to the pallet), and tape the cap on.
MVP has been able to eliminate a full-time crate building position and improve shipping time significantly. The sleeve is branded which is something they have wanted for a long time.
