For years, BCI Rochester produced full-bleed, rotary die-cut cases for Brooklyn Brewery. Looking to reduce costs, the brewery made the decision to shift to FFG production — a change that required adjusting all artwork to accommodate new scoring and printing parameters.
BCI’s design team collaborated closely with Brooklyn Brewery’s in-house designers to guide the transition. By sharing best practices for flexographic printing and introducing overprint techniques, BCI helped minimize trapping issues while enhancing the visual impact of the packaging.
This collaborative approach not only delivered a cleaner, more cost-effective package — it also deepened the customer relationship. The project reinforced BCI’s value as a creative partner and set a higher standard for both design and efficiency.
