Fifty years in business is a milestone that reflects the strength, stability and success only a few companies ever achieve.  As we celebrate this 50th year, we extend our sincerest gratitude to our customers as well as our current and former employees.

Honoring the Past

Founded in 1967 and incorporated with Iowa’s iconic name, Hawkeye Corrugated Box was established by Stanley W. Bittner along with his partners, Daniel Nutt and Robert Mason.  The newly formed corporation began its humble beginnings in an old multi-story manufacturing building in downtown Cedar Falls until a new facility was built on a bluff overlooking the scenic Cedar River later that year.

In 1999, Stan’s son Scott Bittner took the reigns of Hawkeye .  Over the next decade major investments were made with a plant expansion and equipment.

Celebrating the Present

In 2009 Hawkeye was acquired by BCI, Buckeye Corrugated, Inc.  Since the acquisition Hawkeye has made substantial investments in plant layout, machinery and people.

As we embark on this 50th year, we are planning internal and external celebrations to show our gratitude to our customers and employees.  Stay tuned for updates.

Focusing on the Future

We are driven to build upon the success of the last 50 years and continue delivering the innovation and uncompromising service that you deserve for the next 50 years.  Again, thank you to our valued customers, employees and former employees for making our business extraordinary.
