Recruiting, Onboarding, Development & Training (RDT) Coordinator |Houston, TX

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

The RDT Coordinator works closely with BCI Division leadership to assess staffing needs and coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, development, training and retention of BCI associates at all levels. This entails recruiting and making recommendations on new hires, coordinating the new hire process, proper training and onboarding of new hires and working closely with each new hire during their probationary period to prepare them for a successful and lasting career at BCI. This position reports to the Division Controller.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Tasks related to this position may vary and are not limited to those listed below:

Recruiting

  • Assess staffing needs and priorities with Division leadership
  • Coordinate position postings and associate recruitment through web and other social media platforms, associate referral programs and outside agency resources
  • Review and screen candidate resumes and employment applications
  • Conduct preliminary interviews and make interview recommendations to Division hiring team
  • Coordinate pre-employment screening and testing as applicable

Onboarding:

  • Assemble and conduct new hire orientation
  • Assist Division Controller with completion of new-hire checklist tasks and upload of supporting documentation into UKG
  • Interact with new hires regularly to assess their progress in their new role and understanding of the BCI culture, benefit programs and ability to meet BCI standards
  • Regularly review new-hire performance with assigned Supervisor during first year of employment

Training & Development :

  • Assist Division Controller and Division leadership with associate training, mentoring and leadership development program in cooperation with Division leadership (e.g., associate mentor program)
  • Coordinate all required training for newly hired associates during initial 90-day probation period (e.g., new hire safety training)

General

  • Regular interaction with Division leadership to ensure compliance with the company’s policies and procedures
  • Identify associate retention, career development opportunities and solutions for improved overall associate experience
  • Utilize available HRIS, training modules and behavioral assessment tools (e.g., UKG; internal benchmarking and performance management tools; development profile; PRADCO) to support the recruiting, onboarding, development and training of BCI associates
  • Perform all duties from a foundation of trust and the highest ethical conduct, following established safety rules, company policies and procedures
  • Full-time role in both an office and manufacturing plant setting

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant HR recruiting, training and development experience (packaging/manufacturing industry preferred)
