Title:  Customer Service Representative

Reports to:  Customer Service Manager

Department:  Customer Service / Sales

 

Position Purpose:

To process sales information through the quotation, order entry and delivery stages for internal and external customers.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Tasks related to this position may vary and are not limited to those listed below:
  • Corresponds with customers, sales, and production using communications tools provided
  • Completes and provides cost estimates to management
  • Provides quotes to sales and customers
  • Processes purchase orders
  • Processes specification and information for order entry
  • Enters orders
  • Expedites orders
  • Purchases and expedites products from outside vendors
  • Manages customer inventory levels
  • Monitors shipping schedule and corresponds with customers as needed
  • Participates in daily production meetings
  • Maintains filing systems
  • Provides back up to receptionist and phone duties as needed
  • Provides back up on other administrative functions as assigned
  • Establishes delivery time on orders and tracks through production process
  • Maintains customer files
  • Analyzes warehouse items
  • Observes all prescribed safety rules and regulations
  • Full-time role in an office setting

 

Skill Set:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work through situations lacking necessary detail
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, reports and manuals
  • Ability to write reports and emails
  • Ability to perform basic math skills including discounts, interest and percentages
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
  • Ability to keep information organized and confidential

 

Qualifications Desired:

  • 1-5 Years of relevant experience in customer service role
  • Amtech database experience is a plus
  • Corrugated industry experience is a plus
  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
